Chappell Farms Etc, LLC began in the 1970s as a dairy farm founded by Carl and Sally Chappell in Milford, New Hampshire. The operation has always been based on a family farm property that has been in the family since 1960. Alongside their three children — Duane, Dean, and Mamie — they built a business rooted in hard work, reliability, and a strong connection to the land.
In the mid-1990s, the family transitioned from dairy farming into the logging industry, continuing under the Chappell Farms name. Carl worked alongside his sons in the woods, Mamie assisted with office operations during that time, and Sally remained active in the business for many years, helping on logging jobs.
In 2022, shortly before his planned retirement, Carl tragically passed away. Duane and Dean now continue to operate the business their family built, carrying forward decades of hands-on experience from the same land where it all began.
Today, the company serves Milford and Southern New Hampshire with logging, land clearing, wholesale firewood production, and debarking services. While the operation has grown and modernized, it remains grounded in the same values — and the same property — it has been built on for generations.
